How we create breed content
Matchapup uses structured breed data, public breed-standard references, care guidance, and internal scoring rules to create quiz results, breed profiles, comparators, persona guides, and calculators. Editorial conclusions are written for practical fit, not for selling a specific breed or product.
Review standards
Public pages should be human-reviewed before publication when they make breed-fit, care, cost, training, shedding, health, emotional-support, or allergy-related claims. Unreviewed editorial content is kept unpublished until it passes that review standard.
Health and behavior caveats
Matchapup is educational and does not replace a veterinarian, certified trainer, behavior consultant, rescue counselor, or breeder screening process. Readers should confirm health, temperament, and training needs with qualified professionals before making a real-life dog decision.
Affiliate and advertising standards
Matchapup may earn from affiliate links and advertising. Affiliate placement does not change the match engine, breed rankings, or care caveats. Product links stay broad until Matchapup has a real product review process and a reason to recommend specific products by name.
Corrections
If a reader spots an outdated source, unclear caveat, or breed fact that needs review, they can contact Matchapup at support@matchapup.com. Corrections should include the page URL, the claim in question, and any source that should be reviewed.
